Sockets Needs Analysis
Select this for connections between your iSeries AS/400 and any device or system that talks TCP/IP sockets directly. This would require some sort of network connection between the two, whether over LAN, WAN, or the public Internet.

Serial Needs Analysis
Select this Needs Analysis if you need to connect devices or systems to your iSeries AS/400 that have ASCII asynch serial ports. We support RS232, RS422, or RS485. This connection is also made over a LAN or WAN and uses a small Curbstone-provided converter box to change the AS/400's sockets traffic to the serial data stream.
